From April 23 to 25, 2026, Danse-Cité presented the third edition of COSMOS in the multi room at Ateliers Belleville, marking at the same time the inauguration of this newly developed space. COSMOS is a platform designed by Sophie Corriveau and Michael Martini, which invites artists each edition to take on a carte blanche on the content and form of their project, with certain guidelines such as creating from a limited technical setup and concluding the residency with a public performance lasting 10 to 30 minutes. For this edition, the invited artists were Mara Dupas, Justin de Luna, and Priscilla Guy. The event unfolded over three evenings, from April 23 to 25, with each evening presenting performances from the artists' work, created using the resources and the space-time made available to them by Danse-Cité.
The COSMOS format rests on this freedom left to artists regarding the content and approach of their performative project. Beyond the performances, the event was also meant to be a moment of gathering for the public and the artists. This edition officially inaugurated the multi room at Ateliers Belleville as Danse-Cité's new presentation space.

COSMOS represents a momentary constellation, a gathering of dance artists that we wish to be intergenerational, interdisciplinary, intercultural — inter-everything. I look forward to seeing the artists dive — carte blanche — into their current obsessions and emerge with something to share. We come together not only around three new works signed by three artists, but also around a meal, in the desire to appreciate being together while sharing our reflections on the works presented.
