On Friday, November 20, Ateliers Belleville presents the sixteenth edition of its ECHOS concert series, dedicated to exploratory music and audio art.
Duotang (Emma Forgues and Mimi Allard)
Duotang is a Montreal-based duo formed by interdisciplinary artist Emma Forgues and sound artist Mimi Allard. Through audiovisual performance, the two artists explore the invisible rhythms of the body and the relationships between organic and technological systems. Transformed voices, sound synthesis, and shifting 3D landscapes come together in interactive environments where sound and image continuously influence one another in real time. Rooted in experimentation and attentive listening, their practice embraces feedback, instability, and unpredictable behaviours. Their first project, somaware ii, took shape during a research-creation residency at Perte de Signal in 2026. The ECHOS concert marks its first public presentation since the residency.
ianna book
A hybrid multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of visual and sound art, Ianna Book explores themes of identity and emancipation through immersive experiences that challenge perceptions and encourage intimate reflection on our capacity to transform the world. Their projects create spaces for personal and collective affirmation, contributing to the emergence of new cultural narratives.
Rafaele Andrade
Rafaele Andrade is a Brazilian composer and musician based in the Netherlands. She is particularly known for Knurl, her self-built electroacoustic instrument, which merges electronics, 3D printing, and creative coding. Having become the core of her artistic world, the instrument informs a practice that extends to composing music for film, theatre, and live performance.
Her work moves between intimate interdisciplinary artistic practices and the development of technologies of her own design. Winner of the Alpine Fellowship Music Prize and the UNESCO/IFPC award, and nominated for the Crystal Pine Awards, Andrade has forged an international path at the intersection of experimentation and accessibility, bringing new sounds to curious audiences across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
