It is with hearts filled with immense pride that Ateliers Belleville invites the general public and the artistic community to celebrate, from June 11 to 13, 2026, the opening of LAB-545. A vast space of more than 55,000 square feet, LAB-545 brings together artist studios, presentation spaces, creative residencies, and specialized production workshops. A living, independent, and sustainable space, where creation, fabrication, and diffusion coexist under one roof, a key hub for Montreal's cultural community.
For the occasion, Ateliers Belleville is joining forces with Eastern Bloc, partner and accomplice, to give this weekend of festivities its full scope. Co-produced by the two organizations, the inaugural event brings together around sixty artists. The daytime is an invitation to discover the effervescence of an artistic community in action; the evening, to attend audiovisual performances under the banner of SIGHT+SOUND, Eastern Bloc's digital art festival.
An exhibition of about twenty works by member artists, guided tours of the facilities, open studios, creative workshops for the general public, and an electronic music evening round out these three days of festivities surrounding the opening of a space that now, for good, belongs to artists.
After years of work, welcome to LAB-545!

Ateliers Belleville and Eastern Bloc are launching a crowdfunding campaign with La Ruche. The platform hosts ticketing for the event's paid activities, and each contribution will help support an outreach project aimed at emerging artists and the school community. Thanks to the Fonds Mille et UN (FM1), every contribution will be matched dollar for dollar.
Upon leaving school, many artists and artisans look for an environment where their practices can take root. We want to offer emerging artists concrete access to creative spaces, specialized workshops, and an active, engaged artistic community.
Every ticket purchased during our Grand Opening = a concrete contribution toward funding an outreach project for emerging artists and the school community.
