While awaiting the grand official opening of LAB-545 in June 2026 and the gradual launch of our full cultural programming, for a limited period, we are offering the entire artistic community the opportunity to benefit from our private studio spaces at the resident member rate (i.e. the same rate per square foot as that offered for shared workshops to resident members). Ideal for a one-time project requiring a private workspace.

Who is this call intended for?

• Being an independent professional artist;

• Having a practice in visual arts that may include, for example, sculpture, painting, ceramics, installation, new media, photography, video, sound, etc.

• Having a project in research and exploration or in production for which a residency will be useful and structuring;

• Project not producing excessive noise and dust (work producing dust or noise must be carried out in the specialized workshops);

What the offer includes

• Duration: 1 to 3 months

• A private workspace

• 3 private studios of 715 sq. ft.: $974.50 / month + tax (resident member price)*

• 1 private studio of 504 sq. ft.: $700.20 / month + tax (resident member price)*

• By reservation and subject to space availability, unlimited free access (except consumables which will be billed) to the specialized workshops (wood, metal, ceramics, digital fabrication), access by reservation, at the resident member rate, to the 2,800 sq. ft. multi-purpose room which allows for sound work, spatial experimentation, video recording, and public presentations.

*Add annual resident membership fee: $120 + tax to the total amount.

• Period: from March 1 to August 30, 2026.

• To be included in the application:

  • Brief description (500 words maximum) of your project and your practice, including:

    • project for the residency with an overview of the type of work to be carried out

    • desired residency size (715 or 504 sq. ft.)

    • target period and level of flexibility in dates

• Artistic approach and brief biographical note (250 words maximum in total)

• Artistic CV (3 pages maximum)
